Keep Fresh Herbs From Sticking to Knife
No one likes to constantly be wiping herbs off of their knife while cutting. First of all, make sure the knife is sharp and clean. Here are two more ways to make chopping herbs easier and more pleasant:
1) Spray the knife very lightly with spray oil or an oil mister. Avoid getting any oil on hands, which would make the knife slippery.
2) Slice through a clean raw potato just before chopping herbs. The starch in the potato will coat the knife and cause herbs to fall of smoothly. You can repeat slicing the potato as you work. Herbs should be used right away.
