Concentrated Flavor Powders
Make your own powders for super concentrated flavor in cooking hot and cold foods, soups, salads, and everything in between. Just dehydrate the foods in a dehydrator or in a very low oven. Cool and then grind in an electric spice grinder or blender. Some of the best things to use are tomatoes (especially tomatoes!), chiles, garlic, onion, mushrooms, just about anything with a flavor that you appreciate. Powders can be stored on the shelf in jars, and will stay flavorful for six months to a year.
