Calling all local farmers and producers! Do you have a project that will help bring your local farm/food business to the next level? Would you benefit from a no-interest loan to jumpstart that project? 2014-microloan-wiscopop

The VFC P6 Microlending Committee is excited to announce that our 2015 VFC P6 Microlending Initiative applications are now available. We invite any local farm or business already selling food or other products to the VFC or at the Viroqua Farmers Market to apply for a no-interest one year loan of up to $3,250 to help take their business to the next level!

Through the VFC P6 Microlending Initiative we hope to strengthen small, local farms and other businesses that are part of our local food system and create opportunities to improve their operations.

Types of projects that are funded by the VFC P6 Microlending Initiative are ones that:

  • Help fill a hole in local food supply system by expanding production and/or distribution of a food and/or products.
  • Projects that purchase equipment to increase efficiency and decrease production costs.
  • Projects that help a local producer grow their business.

Applications for the 2015 VFC P6 Microloan due Friday, February 6th. You can download the application here.   Applications must be mailed to:
