The Viroqua Food Co-op is a member of the National Co-op Grocers, along with 148 other food co-ops across the country operating 202 different locations. By joining together with other co-ops, we are stronger together because this enables us to purchase predominantly certified organic Field Day products as one large group in order to lower costs and in turn, pass that savings on to you.

As part of our mission, the “...Viroqua Food Co-op emphasizes organic and local foods and products to promote the long-term health of individuals and the environment...” Co-op Basics is a selection of staple organic and natural foods and household goods priced below and sometimes well below, suggested retail price. It’s exciting to grow our Co-op Basics Program to bring more options to our customers.

Maccheese-shelf.jpgWe will continue to expand our selection of Field Day products, but it already includes organic apple juice, organic pastas and pasta sauces, organic salsas, organic olive oil, canned organic beans and vegetables, packaged cereals, organic salad dressings, organic broths, organic granola bars, organic cookies, organic crackers, organic peanut butter, organic fruit spreads, organic olives, a variety of recycled paper towels, napkins, tissue paper, and toilet paper, organic apple cider vinegar, and sea salts.

You won’t find Field Day products in the big chain stores and you won’t find comparable items at better prices! So next time you come in and shop, look for the purple Co-op Basics signs and take advantage of great prices. Now anyone can afford to put delicious, organic food on the table!
