We Do Our Best to Practice Earth Day Everyday.

Let me recount some of the ways...

  • GO ROGUE & GROW YOUR OWN FOOD!
GREENHOUSE TIME! By this weekend, we'll have all you need to start your garden plots, big or small! Locally grown, organic plant starts/seedlings, seeds, etc., will be available. Plus, SOILS, COMPOSTS & WORM CASTINGS – 10% OFF SALE, THIS SATURDAY ONLY!

  • TURN NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE!
Did you happen to catch the article our Mercantile Buyer, Crystel, posted this winter? CLICK HERE to go to VFC's Winter Pea Soup Newsletter and flip to page 12 to understand how negative ions are wonderful for your environment. It's not as if we're the first food co-op to carry salt lamps, but we are a food co-op that carries multiple sizes and styles now. So if you are short on beeswax candles, waterfalls and rainstorms, make a salt lamp a permanent display in a room where you could use the extra positive ions pulled out of the air!

  • REDUCE (first), REUSE (second), (and ONLY THEN) RECYCLE!
We've gotchya bowls, we've gotchya bags, we've even gotchya compostable bambu plates...
Feeling bad about throwing stuff in the trash? Well don't be silly – raise a recycled glass because we've got a ridiculously large assortment of reusable plastic and bamboo dishware (very eco-chic), shopping bags, drinking vessels, portable utensils, etc. Looking for "new, but permanent kitchenware?" We also have a sweet collection of recycled glasses hand-made from recycled soda bottles to take you to the next level!
