Well, maybe there is no free lunch per se, but there is free coffee and baked goods during our Coffee with the Board events. We host these from time to time to get feedback from our owners and to be able to introduce ourselves. The upcoming events will take place: Saturday, Jan. 17, and Saturday, Feb. 21, both from 9-11am in the VFC deli seating area.
If you are uncertain what to talk about, simply come and tell us your “Co-op story.” We all have one, and each is unique.
You might be new to the area or unacquainted with a VFC Board Member, so feel free to simply stop by and just say “Hi” as we’d love to meet you, as well.
We want to hear about your excitement about our 20th anniversary and celebrate with us how far we’ve come together. Ours is a very impressive story that has put Viroqua on the map. Fill us in on how you are enjoying our free winter film series being shown at The Ark (on the corner of Jefferson St. and South Washington St.), in January, February and March.
Maybe you are one of the fabulous farmers or sensational small businesses who is considering applying for an interest-free microlending loan. Share your plans with us, or if you’ve received one in the past, let us know how it affected your business. It is such an exciting program!
We’d love to hear from those of you who have had the opportunity to partake in any of the Driftless Folk School classes that are offered at a discount to all VFC Owners. Learning something new must be one of your New Year’s resolutions, especially learning how to cook in new and different ways.
As you can see, there are many reasons to stop and chat for a moment or two with us at these Coffee with the Board events. Look for the big banner out front to remind you to come and we’ll be waiting for you in the deli seating area. It’s a very casual set up and we love to hear ideas and thoughts from owners. Hope to see you there!
